I’ve always thought Alphabet books were quite special as they are, in a way, the first book. Bruno Munari’s ABC is clever and witty, first published in 1960 its playful use of colours and textures is so refreshing and inspiring.

I was showing it to my illustrator friend earlier today and she fell in love too, it’s definitely a book to keep close at hand and dip into for inspiration.
